I got way out of my comfort zone and went on a trip. I have not taken that many in the last couple decades, so it was daunting. I survived though lol. Our drive from Phoenix airport to Payson was amazing. It was almost like being on a different planet! The landscape was dry land, cacti, shrubs, as far as the eyes could see. It was so cool finally getting to see other parts of the United States. I had gone to Phoenix/Scottsdale, when I was about 11 but don’t really remember much. So fun though. Such a great experience. Seeing my moms side of the family was a blast and it was so good to reconnect!
The photo is of an elk and her baby coming by my cousins house. Elk often walk around where my cousin lives on a regular basis! It was pretty incredible to see up close.
